Some jobs need more than stretch. They need a fabric that meets a spec. Spandex American Fabrics is Cherechian Trading Co, a family business trading fabric since 1960. Two generations on, we are still family-owned and still run from the warehouse floor.

Our technical shelf covers the work that has rules. Fire-retardant spandex is FR-rated stretch for costume and industry. Medical spandex is compression-grade knit for braces and supports. We carry US military fabric and spandex, mil-spec goods and stretch, along with antimicrobial spandex for odor control and UV spandex that resists sun fade and breakdown outdoors and in the water.

It is all American-made, which matters when a buyer needs domestic goods for a contract. We are among the last distributors of American-made spandex and specialty stretch, and we supply the small and mid-size manufacturers who build to these specs. We sell by the roll or by the pound, and we ship container loads for volume orders. Our focus is domestic, and we work with international buyers every day.
